Youtube or external video with product gallery images

Most of the ecommerce site needs to show a video along with the gallery images to give a quick intro about the product. So, it would be really great to have this feature. Currently, we can add hosted video as well as external video as iframe. If i add external video as iframe then it just show a video icon in the place of the gallery item thumbnail. So, if i can set a thumbnail of the video as well then that will be really helpful. Thanks in advance.
