Hi Jack, thanks for getting back. Somewhere in the past few weeks, either multiple cache clearing or woocommerce update fixed the problem. No action required from your end. Thanks!
Awesome.
Hello everyone, We have added option to configure what tag to show for breadcrumbs title -> http://prntscr.com/w4imlu Check the update history -> https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/ Regards, Jack Richardson
Thank you. Which H breadcrumb is best? If not H1 then H2?? Not sure the difference with each breadcrumb.
Hello @MichaelB, That's why we added it as option to make anyone have own choice of tag. By default we have h1 and you can change it in that option. If you are interested in which is the best, please, ask users, search on web-sites or try one according to your SEO standards. Regards
Okay. Thanks.
This post doesn't help – www.8theme.com/topic/remove-h1-from-breadcrumbs-and-add-it-t… Basically, what is being said here is that there’s no fix. I'm hoping, because the post is half a year old (!) this will be resolved in the near future. To be honest: anyone looking to tailor and manage their SEO ranking will be knocked off by this template’s limitation. Contrary to how 8theme put it in the other post, it actually is NOT best practice for SEO purposes, posing a serious ranking issue. I’m kind of surprised by this because, up until now, I find the entire template to be very professional and well thought out. (Copying the breadcrumbs file to a templates folder inside my child theme, or changing the original file doesn't seem to have any effect. I can find the H1 tag, but it doesn't seem to be responsible for the actual rendered breadcrumb text title)
It's moved to planned. Hopefully, we'll get a fix in the next update.
It's moved to "In progress" Woo! Next update... Fingers crossed!
Great suggestion. Upvoted.
Hi, I noticed the fix in the last update, thanks for this. Unfortunately, the breadcrumb tag fix only applies to single pages. Breadcrumbs in category pages still use the H1 tag; this isn't changed. Since the bulk of our website revolves around eCommerce (and subsequently our category pages), our problem is still not solved. And as said: SEO wise this is very bad practice. Can you please make sure that the breadcrumbs settings covers ALL breadcrumb artifacts, on ALL pages?
