FILTER By Product Status Issue when Product Variation "Out of Stock"

Hi there, Currently if the Product Status in Filters is selected to display only products “In Stock” and Size (variation attribute) filter is selected = M (as an example), the product display results would STILL DISPLAY the products where Size = M in “Out of Stock”. Is it possible to ONLY display the products where this Variation size attribute value (“M” in this case) is “In Stock”? In other words, if user select filters size = M, and product status = “In Stock”, it is expected to ONLY show the products where size M is “In Stock”.
