Better functionality for quantity i cart

I’d like to use the off-canvas minicart, but I see no way to enable the visitor to adjust the quantity of the products in the in the cart (other than adding them manually from the product page) and/or deleting them entirely from the cart first. You should add a quantity selector to the mini-cart, I think. Quantity is also not very well supported for variable products on search and category pages. I would like it to be posible for the visitor to select a colour and a quantity, and then add that quantity to the basket for variable products, directly from the search result- and category pages.
