Unfortunately due to the fact that google fonts are loaded from google's servers, any website that does this is not gdpr compliant. There are been cases where websites were sued ( and lost ) due to this. Most themes already fixed this by serving the google fonts from a copied file on the site instead of loading it from google directly. So if I were to choose Open Sans for example in the theme options, it would copy all the files locally and create the link from there. I know you can download it and load it as a custom font, but what about with fonts that have the styles broken across multiple files, would need to download and upload them all like this. Unfortunately this is VERY important, not just a gimmick request. Thank you
I wanted to submit this request but I found it here. Can you add an option of deleting all traces of google fonts! Even if you load locally, there is still a link of google fonts in the Header! can you find a solution to that too? Thank you.
