Allow editing of email builder before going live. I cant get through all the emails to edit before new emails or orders go out.

At this moment there is not such option to use but I will mark your request as 'under review' to consult with our devs about this !
For this time it is good solution to create staging site and make your develop there and then using import/export tools simply add your templates to production site.
